Rare Hydrants
These TWW Hydrants are in Toronto Water Works office and shop in Toronto, Ontario
This hydrant was made by the St. Lawrence Foundry for Toronto Water Works. Notice there is a main operating nut and four independent gates for the ports.
This hydrant was made by McAvity for Toronto Water Works around 1900. It also has a main operating nut and three independently gated ports. This was a high pressure hydrant. This hydrant is so rare that the company that now makes McAvity hydrants has asked TWW for it, without luck.
